Our family’s wine legacy began with our grandfather Martinho, a farmer from Mogofores, who crafted red and white wines in the 1920s. Upon his passing in the late 1960s, our father Manuel took over, modernizing the vineyards but shifting away from wine sales. In the mid-1990s, we resumed wine production, experimenting with new grape varieties. The first Campolargo wines debuted in 2000, with a new cellar completed in 2004. Today, the business is managed by the third generation, with Jorge overseeing vineyards, Carlos managing the cellar and sales, and Joana handling administration and relations. We’re committed to maintaining our wine production as a family affair, with vineyards spanning 110 hectares in S. Lourenço do Bairro and 60 hectares in Arcos. Our grape varieties include Baga, Touriga Nacional, Tinta Barroca, Pinot Noir, Trincadeira da Bairrada, Cabernet Sauvignon, Bical, Arinto, Cerceal, and Verdelho, cultivated in sandy-clay and calcareous soils with predominantly South and West sun exposure.
