About

Casa Anadia olive oil continues a tradition dating back to the 17th century, when the manor house with its chapel was built on the Quinta do Bom Sucesso estate in Alferrarede. Originally owned by the Almeida family, the estate still preserves its olive press, where an 1819 map shows olive groves already planted in neat rows—remarkable for the period. The manor, gardens, and surrounding buildings are today classified as public interest heritage.

From the 1990s, the groves began conversion to modern cultivation, now spanning 100 hectares. Both Portuguese and international varieties are grown, including Galega, Cobrançosa, Picual, and Arbequina, with Ribatejo PDO olive oils produced from the local varieties. Olives from centuries-old trees are also part of production.

The estate’s three terroirs—clay, limestone, and schist—create unique blends: natural, unfiltered, extra virgin olive oils that are fruity, fresh, complex, and low in acidity. They embody centuries of know-how, tradition, and innovation.
