Description
Presenting to you, the exquisite Colheita 1999 from the sun-kissed vineyards of Portugal’s Alentejo region. This wine is a testament to the rich clay soils laced with Rose Quartz that it hails from. The vinification process is a labor of love, beginning with a meticulous hand-harvest and rigorous selection of clusters. The grapes are then allowed to macerate for a period of 10-14 days, extracting the maximum flavor and color. The wine then matures gracefully over 18 months in French oak barrels, followed by a further 6 months in vat before bottling. With a grape blend that gives the wine its distinctive character and complexity, it greets the eye with a captivating garnet red color. On the palate, it is an extremely complex wine, with a well-presented acidity, mature and velvety tannins. The aroma is clean, leading to a long finish, making each sip a memorable experience.
