Description

Muros Antigos Loureiro comes from Lima
sub region, birth place of Loureiro grape
variety.
With strong Atlantic influence, this region
presents granitic soils, deep and poor in
organic matter. Along the Lima valley,
with southern exposure, the vineyards in
half-hillside provide all the freshness of
the Atlantic Ocean. The terroir of this region
gives the wines freshness, aromatic
exuberance as well as a crystalline acidity
and a marked salinity.

Vinification
Grapes owned by the company, acquired
from a group of vineyards in the Lima
valley, handpicked grapes into small boxes
and carried to the winery in a short period
of time. In a refrigerated environment and
in a short period of time the grapes arrive
at our reception. Total de-stemming with
a short skin maceration. Cold clarification
at 12ºC. Fermentation with controlled
velocity and temperature. Minimum 3
month ageing on fine lees with regular
bâtonnage.

Tasting notes
Floral aroma, characteristic of the Loureiro
variety, the presence of white petal
flower aromas is part of this wine’s character.
Citric and fresh, on the nose the
orange blossom and jasmine accompany
the light fruity touch. The palate is balanced
and mainly marked by crystalline
and vibrant acidity. Muros Antigos Loureiro
is a light, balanced and crispy wine.
