Description

Castelão also known as “João de Santarém” is the more renown red grape varietal of Tejo’s wine region.
It finds it’s full expression when vinified “like they did in old days”.
This Castelão is quite elegant but shows a rustic trait which imparts it with a unique character, it celebrates the old winemaking traditions of our region.
