At Quinta de Ventozelo, every grape variety has a history. Syrah is all about surprise – revealing an unexpected personality for a variety that is not indigenous to the Douro region. To ripen its structure and enhance its fruity exuberance, we left it to rest in wood barrels for a year. The result is this memorable Syrah Oak Matured.

Tasting notes
A beautiful ruby colour with intense aromas of red berry confit that combine perfectly with spiced toasted wood aromas. Powerful but very rounded and silky in the mouth, with fine and mature tannins.

How best to enjoy
Pairs perfectly with strong cheese, Iberian ham and game.
