Born during the 2004 harvest, the Altas Quintas project is located in the heart of the Serra de São Mamede Natural Park, the most unique terroir in Portalegre, a sub-region of the Alentejo that is already quite distinct in itself. There, at an altitude of over 600 metres, we find the ideal soil, temperature and humidity conditions to achieve the maximum expression, purity and freshness of the grape varieties that we cherish in the vineyard and winery.
“Portalegre with elevation” is our motto. Our purpose? To combine Nature and Man to produce distinctive wines, wines that reveal in body and soul the land that saw them born.
