In 2020, Norberto and Mónica founded Vinhas de Nexe, a 9-hectare estate in Santa Bárbara de Nexe created to celebrate the Algarve’s landscape, nature and wine culture.
Four hectares are dedicated to vineyards, planted with red varieties such as Alicante Bouschet, Touriga Franca, Syrah and Touriga Nacional, alongside white varieties including Arinto, Alvarinho and Sauvignon Blanc. In 2025, a new plot of Negra Mole was added, reinforcing the project’s commitment to native Algarve grapes.
Combining tradition and innovation, Vinhas de Nexe offers authentic experiences that bring together wine, gastronomy, culture and territory. Since 2023, visitors have been able to explore the vineyards, discover the winemaking process and taste wines that reflect the identity of this unique land.
