Finca la Emperatriz

Finca La Emperatriz is a historic vineyard in Baños de Rioja which belonged to the last Empress of France, Eugenia de Montijo. The wife of Napoleon III -the architect of the classification of Bordeaux in Crus-, produced wines on this estate in the 19th century, the quality of which was already recognized in the wine competition of the Universal Exhibition of 1878.
A historic vineyard, at an altitude of almost 600 meters in one of the coldest areas of Rioja. Very poor boulder soils. The ideal vineyard for making great wines for ageing, fine, elegant, long and tasty. Personality in its purest form.
