Quinta de Ventozelo

Located in the heart of the Douro Wine Region, on the left bank of the River Douro, Quinta de Ventozelo is one of the oldest in the Douro Demarcated Region and also one of the largest. The exceptional soil and climate conditions are conducive to excellent viticulture and other products such as olive oil, cereals, cork, honey, fruit and vegetables.
The 200 hectares of vineyards, with more than a million vines planted, stretch from the banks of the Douro to the top of the estate, above 500 meters. Each Ventozelo wine preserves the essence of this place, always with the elegance and balance of the great Douro wines.The aim of the technical team is to enhance what makes this terroir so special, based on its varying altitudes, sun exposure, vine age, planting density, grape variety and conduction systems.
Understanding this complexity and adapting to best winegrowing practices to obtain unique wines is an exciting challenge. Every Ventozelo wine preserves the essence of this place and always with the elegance and balance of the great Douro Valley wines.
